Ana Cabrera is a Peruvian artist, licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT), and creative educator based in New York City. Since 2018, her work has bridged fine art, psychology, expressive arts, and contemporary tattoo practice to support emotional healing, self-expression, and personal transformation.Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute. Her academic training at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and Pratt Institute informs both her artistic process and clinical approach, grounding her work in creativity, emotional depth, cultural awareness, and compassionate care.
With over a decade of experience in clinical, educational, and community-based settings, Ana has supported children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions. Her work emphasizes emotional safety, authenticity, and empowerment, creating spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and encouraged to explore their inner worlds through art.
In recent years, Ana has expanded her creative practice into tattooing, approaching it as a sacred and intentional form of healing that integrates mind, body, and spirit. She views tattooing as a ritual of self-authorship — a moment of embodiment where symbolism, memory, and transformation are permanently inscribed onto the skin. Through this integrative approach, Ana bridges art therapy, expressive arts, and tattoo practice, offering holistic experiences that support healing, self-connection, and personal meaning.
Rooted in her identity as a Latin artist, Ana is deeply committed to working with communities of color and creating inclusive, culturally responsive spaces. She believes in art as a powerful vehicle for healing and transformation, and her mission is to support others in reconnecting with their creative voice, cultivating emotional resilience, and moving toward balance, authenticity, and inner peace.
